You do not have to have everything figured out before you come to Jesus. You simply come.
Maybe you have never known Jesus. Maybe you once walked closely with Him and have found yourself far away. Maybe you are simply curious and trying to understand what Christians mean when they talk about knowing Jesus.
Wherever you are, you are welcome here.
Jesus is not asking you to clean yourself up before you come to Him. He came because God loves us and because we could not rescue ourselves. Christianity begins not with our ability to reach God, but with what God has done to reach us through Jesus Christ.
What Is Salvation?
God created you and loves you. But sin separates humanity from God, and none of us can repair that separation simply by trying harder or becoming good enough.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world, lived without sin, died for our sins, and rose again. Through Him, forgiveness and reconciliation with God are offered to us.
Salvation is a gift from God. We do not earn it. We receive it by placing our faith in Jesus Christ – believing in Him, turning toward Him, trusting what He has done for us, and choosing to follow Him.
What Does the Bible Say?
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 (NKJV)
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23 (NKJV)
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 (NKJV)
Are You Ready to Receive Jesus?
There are no perfect words you have to say. Salvation is not about repeating a formula; it is about genuinely placing your faith in Jesus. You can speak to God in your own words. If you are ready and would like some words to help you begin, you can pray:
Lord Jesus,
I come to You just as I am. I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins, and that You rose again. I acknowledge that I need You. Please forgive me, cleanse me, and make me new.
Today, I place my faith in You. I receive Your gift of salvation and I choose to follow You. Teach me to know You, to love You, and to walk with You. Be Lord over my life and lead me from this day forward.
Thank You for loving me, receiving me, and giving me new life.In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I Have Received Jesus. What Happens Next?
Receiving Jesus is the beginning of a relationship with Him. You do not need to understand everything today, and you are not expected to become perfect overnight. You are beginning a journey of knowing God and growing in Him.
1. Begin talking to God. Prayer does not have to sound impressive. Talk to God honestly about your day, your fears, your questions, your gratitude, and the things you need help with.
2. Start reading the Bible. A good place to begin is the Gospel of John. Read slowly and ask, “What does this show me about Jesus?”
3. Find a Bible-believing Christian community. Faith grows in community. Find a church or Christian fellowship where Scripture is taught faithfully and where you can be encouraged, supported, and helped to grow.
4. Learn about baptism. Baptism is an important step of obedience for a follower of Jesus and a public expression of your faith in Him. Speak with a trusted Christian leader about preparing for baptism.
5. Give yourself room to grow. You will have questions. You will still have things to learn. Keep coming back to Jesus. Christian growth happens over time as you pray, learn Scripture, obey God, and allow Him to transform your life.
6. Tell someone about your decision. Sharing your decision with a trusted Christian can give you support and encouragement as you begin this new journey.
We Would Love to Walk With You
Your decision is between you and God. You do not have to contact Christ Family Fellowship for your decision to be real or complete. But if you would like someone to pray with you, answer your questions, or help you understand your next steps, we would be honoured to walk with you.
